This session. This baby. Oh my, you guys, I don’t even know where to start with this one. I had the privilege of taking my sister’s family pictures on a recent trip out west to Vegas and Colorado. (Remember her maternity pictures?)
Her daughter Sparrow is an absolutely adorable, stubborn 1 year old. She definitely doesn’t do something just to make someone else happy. Her favorite new word when I was visiting was “no”. And when the time rolled around for our session, she had refused to nap that afternoon (of course!). So to say that I was a bit apprehensive is an understatement. Just because it’s my family doesn’t automatically make it easy. But despite my reservations, little Sparrow ROCKED our portrait session!

Look at those genuine smiles! I was thrilled that she chose to be happy. I think the key for her happiness was being outside, since its her favorite place to be. And who wouldn’t be happy in such scenery?
Oh, to treasure these remarkable moments when you are the most important person to your child. You are all that she needs to be content. She is at peace holding your hand, as she learns to navigate the world.
